I am eternally saddened by the fact that I can’t fit in these, even with the various seat and steering wheel modifications that can be done. I would probably have already imported one...

Okay, I guess I’ll address the elephant in the room...
Does it fit inside the Suburban?

I imported one from Japan last March, they are so amazing little machines. I even drove it across the USA to get it home.

It might. I know mine should fit in the back of an old E350 cargo van. I’m not brave enough to try it though.

You could get a Toyota Sera as a consolation prize

Wow, I don’t think I’d be brave enough to drive that cross-country!
How much was yours to import?

It was a great trip, I did it in about a week with spending a weekend in salt lake city.
I bought mine before the prices really exploded so I got it for about half of what market value is now. You can get one in good shape all landed and imported for 12.5 to 18 grand depending on what condition you want.

Man, that sounds like a blast!
Dang, well over ten large is solidly outside my price range. It looks like not many of them were made, huh? I’ll have to figure out some way to take one for a spin someday.

As much as I love the doors, I don’t think I could bring myself to pay a premium for what is effectively a Paseo.

Same, they should have built it around the MR2

It drives even better than it looks. You can be super aggressive with it, or drive it like a normal car. The weirdest part was driving it on the highway. It was like an eager puppy, you give it some throttle to get up to speed and it just feels like it’s begging for more. It certainly isn’t lacking in power. The speed governor at 87 mph is pretty easy to bounce off of. I go back and forth on whether to remove it or not.
